Charles Chiriseri was a Zimbabwean pastor. He was the founder of His Presence Ministries International. Chiriseri died in a car accident in September 2016.
Background
He was married to Petunia, and together they had four daughters, Yasha, Lisa, Zoe, and Nissi and a son. Chiriseri's family originally from Mount Darwin but his grandparents settled in Chiweshe.[1]The two also had five adopted children.[2]
Education
He was largely educated in Bulawayo, at Columbus Primary School and Mzilikazi Secondary School and also attended the University of Zimbabwe where he graduated with a degree in agricultural production shortly after Zimbabwe's independence. [1]
General Career
Prior to founding His Presence Ministries International in 2006, Chiriseri worked in the private sector as a senior manager and had a hand at business where he ran a chain of butcheries in Harare together with a friend.
Career As A Pastor
He was born again in 1974 and had the opportunity to serve in various capacities which include being president of the Christian Union at university and pastor and senior pastor at Faith Ministries. Chiriseiri also served as acting General Secretary of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ) and as Peace building Chairperson in the Crisis Coalition of Zimbabwe.
Accident and Death
Chiriseri passed away early on 16 September in a road accident in Mbembesi, Matabeleland North Province. Reports said Apostle Chiriseri died on the spot while his wife, Pastor Petunia,was admitted in a Bulawayo hospital. An official from his church confirmed the news but said details are still sketchy. Chiriseri and his wife were traveling back from a funeral when the accident occurred.
