Mumbengegwi held a number of ministerial positions such as Finance, Education and Minister of State for Indigenisation and Empowerment. This is a list of 5 things you didn't know about the late Samuel Mumbengegwi;
1. After losing the ZANU-PF primary elections for Chivi-Mwenezi constituency to Josaya Hungwe in 2008, Mumbengegwi became a lecturer at Great Zimbabwe University's Faculty of Education.
2. He has also lectured at Morgenster Teachers College
3. He was once a headmaster for a secondary school
4. Mumbengegwi had a PhD in Educational Policy and Planning
5. Willia Bonyongwe, wife of Central Intelligence Organisation director, Happyton Bonyongwe, is Mumbengegwi’s sister-in-law.
