ZACC re-suspendeds 8 investigators after expiry of suspension
The embattled Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC) has re-suspended 8 commissioners who were due to be reinstated after serving their suspensions. The investigators had initially been suspended on a raft of charges that include, corruption, insubordination and divulging the organisation’s secrets.
The 8 investigators received letters signed by Job Wabhira, ZACC’s chairman and some of the letters had the following contents
At its meeting held on September 6, 2016, the Anti-Corruption Commission, acting in terms of Section 14 (1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act (Chapter 9:22), made a decision that you…be suspended from duty for a period of three months with effect from September 29, 2016 to facilitate disciplinary hearing which is to be held against you on allegations of misconduct…,
FeedbackYou shall not attend your place of work or carry out any duty unless directed to do so by the disciplinary authority. You will be entitled to your salary until the disciplinary hearing is finalised.
