Zanu PF has dismissed reports that it will not proceed to distribute housing stands promised to youths during campaigns for the Norton by-election recently. The Zanu PF youths leadership and Urban Development Corporation (UDCORP) on Monday officials visited Knockmallock Farm to assure party youths that they have not withdrew their earlier offer.
Zanu PF Secretary for Youth Affairs, Kudzai Chipanga said there is no going back on promises made by the revolutionary party to allocate residential stands to youths in Norton.
Last week, The Herald reported that the allocated farm in Norton was private land belonging to Maparahwe Properties who are in possession of an interim court order barring the government from developing the land. It therefore remains to be seen how Zanu PF will proceed with the planned repossession of the farm.
