Makomo Resources, Zimbabwe’s largest coal miner made history by becoming the first company based in southern Africa to land a contract to export fuels for steel making to Europe.  Makomo Resources is supposed to supply  15 000 metric tonnes  that will be shipped in December.

Makomo Resources Ltd.  Finance Director Tendai Mungoni said:

The inquiries we’ve had are as a result of the recovery in coal prices internationally and to date, we’ve had two firm orders from Europe
