Activist and National Vendors’ Union of Zimbabwe president, Sten Zvorwadza applied for discharge at after the State closed its case against him. Zvorwadza appeared before Harare Magistrate Vongai Muchuchuti-Guwuriro, where is facing charges for disorderly conduct.
Zvorwadza argued that the charges against him were politically motivated and that the state had failed to prove a prima facie case against him. The state opposed the application citing that Zvorwadza had failed to challenge the submissions made by the investigating officer. Case was remanded to Monday for ruling.
