The country’s largest thermal power station, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Hwange_Power_Station" target="_blank">Hwange Power Station</a>, has dropped its power generation to 280 MW, against an installed capacity of 920 MW.  This means that the Power Station is only producing 30% of the power it is capable of.  However, the power utility is not revealing the cause for the drastic drop in power generation, while <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_Electricity_Supply_Authority_Holdings" target="_blank">Zesa</a> spokesperson Mr Fullard Gwasira  was unreachable.
