Mr John Gazi was reportedly denied land and evicted from a farm because he did not support the ruling party. In a letter, supposedly authored by the Ministry of Lands, Land Reform and Resettlement, John Gazi was denied land on the basis that land was only for people who supported the government, while Mr Gazi was seeking to “topple the government.”
