Zimbabwe to start marking fuel in January 2017 : ZERA

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has said that starting from January 2017 , fuel will be marked to prevent fraud.  The fuel will be marked at the point of entry or a bulk depot by an independant organisation.  This is meant to stamp out dilution, adulteration and smuggling.

ZERA chief executive officer, Gloria Magombo:

We are planning that by January next year the project is actually rolled out…We should be going to tender next week.
