In an interview with The Sunday Mail Leisure at his home last week, musician and war veteran, Chinx Chingaira revealed that he has been suffering from an unknown ailment since 2013 and that at times he wishes he were dead.
He said that despite Government assistance regarding medical bills the doctors have not been able to pinpoint what it is that he is suffering from. He said that at first they suspected he was suffering from arthritis, then TB and even gout, but after a series of tests he emerged clean. Now they suspect it is cancer yet still the specialists he has been to are not sure. He however revealed that whatever disease he is suffering from makes him weak in the joints and equated the kind of pain he experiences to being mauled by lions all over the body but without dying.
He says he has been given strong painkillers that require food which he does not have. His wife, Patricia who lives in Chitungwiza said that he cries like a baby at times because of the pain. Chingaira has been to self-styled prophets, apostolic faith churches and other healers in a bid to get well.
