Bikita West by-election scheduled for January 21, 2017

The government has gazetted the Bikita West by-election.  The Bikita West seat fell vacant after the conviction of Munyaradzi Kereke for rape.  The by-election will be held on the 21st of January 2017.  Bikita West will see President Mugabe’s Zanu PF going head to head against Joice Mujuru‘s Zimbabwe People First.

Some of the candidates are:

• Beauty Chibaya   – Zanu PF’s
• Murdock Chivasa – National Constitutional Assembly (NCA)
• Heya Shoko – Independent
• Innocent Muzvimbiri – Indpendent
• Terrence Makumbo –  Progressive Democrats of Zimbabwe (PDZ)
