Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Justice Rita Makarau told ZBC News that about 18 800 people have registered for the by-election.
Six candidates are vying for the position to represent the constituency in parliament which fell vacant after Munyaradzi Kereke was jailed for raping his niece. The Bikita West by-election scheduled for Saturday the 21st of January.
