Jonathan Moyo says Govt will likely introduce student loans in August

Responding to a question from a Twitter user on when his ministry will introduce student loans, Higher Education Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo said that they will likely introduce the scheme at the start of the academic year which is around August.

Addressing the Zanu PF conference in Masvingo in December 2016, Higher Education Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo revealed government will this year launch a tuition loan scheme for higher and tertiary education students. At the time, Moyo said his ministry had already engaged the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) over terms and conditions of the facility.
