Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Christopher Mushowe has been accused of shedding crocodile tears after he released a scathing statement attacking South African politician Julius Malema. The fiery South African had called for Mugabe to retire telling him “Grandpa it’s enough.”
Mushore’s sincerity on the whole issue has been questioned due to the fact that he has failed to respond or to condemn local politicians who criticise President Mugabe. An unauthored statement which is circulating in cyberspace and was retweeted by Professor Jonathan Moyo accuses Mushowe of protecting the locals who criticise Mugabe because they belong to the same faction. He is accused of belonging to the Lacoste Faction.
The statement reads:
MUSHOWE’S CROCODILE TEARS
When people like Energy Mutodi, (Temba) Mliswa, Mutsvangwa, Mahiya, Matemadanda and others attack President Mugabe Mushowe is curiously quiet. He says nothing.
The things they say about the President are worse than what Malema said but Mushowe can’t condemn the, because they are fellow Lacoste Comrades.
