Harare City Council gives tenants 14 days to pay debts or face eviction
Harare City Council has given tenants occupying residential and commercial properties such as shops, offices and industrial sites (developed or undeveloped) 14 days to pay their outstanding rentals or face eviction.
In a Press advert the local governing authority encourages property owners to visit local district offices or the Credit Control Unit at Rowan Martin to pay and or make debt settlement arrangements. Read the full advert below:
Harare City Council is advising all tenants occupying residential and commercial properties such as shops, offices and industrial sites (developed or undeveloped) to settle their rentals within 14 days from the date of this notice or face eviction without further notice.
Those whose accounts are in arrears should visit their local district offices or the Credit Control Unit at Rowan Martin to pay and or make debt settlement arrangements. All subleases [Illegal tenants) occupying council properties without direct council lease agreements should visit the same offices to regularize their stay and effectively become the legal tenants.
