ZimPF Bulawayo spokesperson receives death threats
Joice Mujuru‘s Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) is reportedly reeling from factionalism. The factional fights have got so bad that some Bulawayo party members have received death threats over the selection of Mujuru’s deputies. Members are reportedly split between Ms Esnath Bulayani and Dr Samuel Sipepa Nkomo. Supporters of Ms Bulayani are reportedly threatening fellow party members.
Bulawayo spokesperson Mr Methuseli Moyo confirmed receiving death threats in a WhatsApp group chat for party members which is administered by Ms Bulayani.
Moyo told the Chronicle
Yes I’ve been threatened but I can’t say more. I have brought the issue to the attention of the relevant authorities. I don’t know the person but the person is in our chat groups. I have referred the matter to the relevant people in the party .
When asked about the threats Ms Bulayani denied any knowledge saying:
I don’t preoccupy myself with WhatsApp groups, ask those from the information department, they would know.
