Bulawayo Zanu PF youths clash over harrassment of Indian and Jewish businesses

Youths of Zanu PF in Bulawayo are reported to have clashed over allegations that one faction is mistreating and harassing businesses owned by Indian and Jewish businesspeople. The youths started a petition speaking out against the harassment which they allege is being carried out by youths loyal to Bulawayo Provincial Affairs Minister Eunice Sandi-Moyo.

Part of the petition reads:

We note with concern the abuse of businesspeople, especially those of the Indian and Jewish communities. We demand that these businesses are a no-go area as they have served Bulawayo for many years,” a petition seen by Southern Eye read.

We cannot allow a businessman, masquerading as a party official, abuse youths in party regalia in harassing and abusing the members of the business community.

 Sandi-Moyo denied the allegations.
