Appointment of 3 people related to ministers in CSC board raises nepotism question

It has emerged that three people appointed in the Cold Storage Company board are related to cabinet ministers.

Last month Agriculture minister, Joseph Made retained Sylvia Khumalo-Jiyane as CSC board chair. The appointment of people related to cabinet ministers suggests that there were corporate governance breaches. Nimrod Chiminya who is the deputy chairperson is brother to Home Affairs minister Ignatius Chombo while Emily Mumbengegwi is Foreign Affairs Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi’s wife.
