Zimbabwe motorsport prodigy Axcil Jefferies has been selected for the Lamborghini Young Driver Program. He is one of 23 drivers selected for the scholarship program which is reserved for drivers aged 17-26 that are already racing in one or more of the Super Trofeo series in Europe, Asia, and North America.
Jefferies is one of the new recruits while his Dutch racing partner Rik Breukers is one of the returning members. The drivers in the program will have access to a range of “professional growth opportunities” including driver coaching and training camps throughout the year.
In March Jefferies and his Dutch partner, Breukers clinched the first edition of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Championship.
Jefferies is also the only African on the 23 drivers select list.
