The probe team which was looking into allegations levelled against Zanu PF National Political Commissar Saviour Kasukuwere has reported that it has completed its report. The probe team, which was lead by the speaker of Parliament, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, was assigned by President Robert Mugabe to look into allegations that Kasukuwere was seeking to topple him by creating parallel structures.
Advocate Mudenda said,
We have finalised the (Kasukuwere) report and what is left is for us to present it to His Excellency, President Mugabe
Another source told the Herald
I am sure that the report will be presented to the President this week because this matter has dragged for too long.
The issue is now creating problems in the party and should be brought to finality.
Before the probe, 10 of Zanu PF’s provinces had endorsed a petition, which called for Kasukuwere to be removed from his post. Kasukuwere’s fate is likely to be decided by President Mugabe.
