Zanu-PF candidate Asum Musa was elected Kwekwe Ward 5 councillor in an election held at the weekend giving Zanu PF full control of council with eight councillors against MDC-T’s six.
Before the death of MDC-T councillor and deputy mayor Aaron Sithole two months ago, both parties held seven seats with Zanu-PF holding the mayoral post. However, Kwekwe mayor Matenda Madzoke said that when they are in council they are not influenced by political affiliation but service delivery.
