Zanu-PF’s politburo is expected to finalise Saviour Kasukuwere’s issue today following the tabling of Advocate Jacob Mudenda’s report following an investigation into allegations against the political commissar.
Kasukuwere is expected not to be part of today’s meeting as he was told to excuse himself last week when his matter was being discussed. Speaking to The Herald, Zanu-PF secretary for administration Ignatius Chombo yesterday confirmed today’s meeting which is expected to start at 10am at the party’s headquarters. Mudenda’s team which comprised of Simon Khaya Moyo, Tsitsi Muzenda and Xavier Kazizi found that Kasukuwere was abusing his authority as a national party leader by being a principal signatory to the provincial party account at the exclusion of the provincial secretary for finance.
The team also found Dickson Mafios and Wonder Mashange abused their roles as Mashonaland Central provincial chairperson and secretary for administration respectively. The team cites the unauthorised sale of a party vehicle, unaccounted funds from the sale of party cards and data forms as well as the abuse of donated funds and building materials as evidence.
