Tsvangirai was betrayed by Zimbabweans after winning 2008 elections: Nkosana Moyo
Presidential candidate for the 2018 harmonised elections Dr Nkosana Moyo has claimed that Zimbabweans betrayed MDC-T President Morgan Tsvangirai in the 2008 elections when Tsvangirai beat Robert Mugabe in the first round. Moyo claimed that Zimbabweans betrayed Tsvangirai by allowing President Robert Mugabe to tamper with the election results. The results for the Presidential election were released almost two months after the election. Speaking at the launch of his candidature, Moyo said:
Now that I think we know that Morgan Tsvangirai supposedly won that election (2008), but instead of Zimbabweans saying that we are not accepting anybody doing anything else with our results, we collectively let it happen.
Do not say Morgan Tsvangirai sold out, but it is us, we Zimbabweans who messed up and once we take that responsibility we will be able to mend our mistake.
