Warriors overcome Zambia to win record Cosafa title

Zimbabwe claimed a record fifth COSAFA Castle Cup after beating Zambia 3-1 in the final played at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in South Africa’s North West province on Sunday.

Knox Mutizwa scored his fifth goal of the tournament before substitute Lubinda Mundia of Zambia leveled matters in the 39th minute. Halftime came with the scoreline level at 1-1. Talent Chawapiwa scored the Warrior’s second in the 57th minute after Mutizwa’s effort came off the post. Ocean Mushure scored his fourth goal of the tournament in the 67th minute after a pass from man of the match Chawapiwa.
