'I want to be an example to other women': Grace Mugabe
Speaking at the wedding of her niece Miriro Gumbochema’s wedding in Harare yesterday, Zimbabwe’s first lady Grace Mugabe said that she puts God first in everything she does.
She also said that she wants to be an example to women not only in Zimbabwe but in other parts of the world. Said Mugabe:
I actually could have managed to live at home, feel the warmth of State House, but I am a different person altogether. I have said I want to be exemplary to other women in the country and also women from other countries; to say that when you are in a certain position, you actually must lead by example. Zviito zvako, your deeds and actions must do the talking. Ukange watungamidza Mwari, Vanokupa the wisdom and so much desire. Hakuna chiri impossible. Hakuna zvisingaitike ukasheedza Zita raMwari.
FeedbackIn August, Grace was accused of assaulting a South African model Gabriella Engels and could only leave South Africa after she was granted diplomatic immunity which has been challenged in court by AfriForum and the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA).
