Highlanders demand to be awarded penalty for Dynamos game as well as to be declared match winners
Highlanders Football Club has written to the Premier Soccer League to voice their disatisfaction with how their match against Dynamos was officiated by Masvingo match referee, Arnold Ncube and his assistants. This follows’s Zifa’s unprecedented decision to overturn a red card which was given to Dynamos striker Christian Ntouba Epoupa. Highlanders is now demanding to be awarded a penalty which they argue the referee denied them. They are also demanding to be declared the winners of the match. Highlanders also suggested that Epoupa’s goal should have been cancelled as it was scored from offside position Excepts from the letter read:
…Award our team a penalty for the incident against Godfrey Makaruse, which penalty we will be willing to travel to Harare and take.
…Finally confirm the obvious conclusion that our club is therefore the winner of the said match.
FeedbackWe are fully cognisant of the decision by the Zifa referees’ committee to set aside the red card shown to Dynamos’ Christian Epoupa Ntouba during the game in question and note the expedient consideration applied in this instance.
