Mnangagwa is responsible for Zim's economic collapse, should be investigated for abusing Command Agric: Mafios
Zanu-PF Mashonaland Central chairperson and brother to Saviour Kasukuwere, Dickson Mafios has said that former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa is responsible for the collapse of Zimbabwe’s economy. Mnangagwa was fired from the post of vice president on Monday after serving in the government since 1980. On Wednesday he was expelled from Zanu-PF.
Speaking at the solidarity march held at the Zanu-PF headquarters, Mafios accused Mnangagwa of being responsible for the economic crisis Zimbabwe finds itself it. It’s interesting that Mafios now blames Mnangagwa for the economic collapse, yet for years Zanu-PF has been claiming that the economic problems in Zimbabwe, were brought on by “illegal sanctions from Britain and her allies.”
Mafios went on to say that Mnangwaga should be investigated for abusing the Command Agriculture Programme. Mnangagwa initially claimed that Command Agriculture was a brainchild of his, only for First Lady Gace Mugabe to claim that she was actually the one who had come up with the programme. She claimed that Mnangagwa had stolen credit for her programme.
Various ministers and officials poked fun at Mnangagwa and called him a border jumper for skipping the country and going into exile. It remains to be seen whether Mnangagwa will be charged with any crimes that occured during his long tenure in government.
President Robert Mugabe also claimed that Mnangagwa had been consulting prophets in order to ascertain when Mugabe was going to die. According to the president, the prophets warned Mnangagwa that he could be the first one to go.
