Zanu-PF said it will decide on Dr Timothy Stamps’ hero status based on recommendations coming from the Office of the President and Cabinet.
The former Health and Childcare Minister succumbed to a lung infection on Sunday afternoon at Borrowdale Trauma Centre in Harare. Zanu-PF spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo said that they were still waiting to hear from the Office of the President and Cabinet. Said Khaya Moyo:
As a party we cannot take the lead in discussing the hero status because Dr Stamps was Health Advisor to the President and Cabinet. It would be proper to hear what the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet has to say.
