Six people died and seven others were injured when a commuter omnibus they were travelling in caught fire, after veering off the road before hitting a tree along Mvurwi-Guruve road on Saturday morning.
Police Spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi told Star FM News that the commuter omnibus which was carrying 13 people, was travelling from Guruve to Harare. He said five of the dead were burnt beyond recognition while the other died upon arrival at Guruve hospital.
