The ruling Zanu-PF party’s chairman for Manicaland Mike Madiro has urged the party’s supporters to make full use of the funeral of Morgan Tsvangirai to court supporters and benefit Zanu-PF. Tsvangirai who is a former Prime Minister and founding leader of the opposition MDC-T party, died in South Africa last Wednesday after succumbing to cancer. He is expected to be buried tomorrow. Speaking at an extraordinary provincial co-ordinating committee (PCC) meeting in Mutare on Sunday Madiro said:
Let’s attend the funeral of Morgan Tsvangirai… I am urging you to be vigilant when we attend the funeral and we should not wear our regalia, at the burial of Tsvangirai’s wife, Susan some Zanu PF supporters were beaten up.
Our President Emmerson Mnangagwa will attend Tsvangirai’s burial. Let’s use the bereavement to add value to our party.
