Zec Should Be Open About Printing Of Ballot Papers To Prevent Disputed Election: Zesn

Electoral watchdog, Zimbabwe Elections Support Network (Zesn) has advised the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) to comply fully with the Electoral Act and reveal full details about the printing of ballot papers. Zesn warned that not doing so could lead to a disputed election. Said Zesn

Zesn believes that adherence to the tenets of an open data policy by the commission will enhance on the integrity and transparency in the administration of electoral processes whose outcomes are acceptable to contesting political parties, interest groups and the electorate.

Zec has revealed that it has identified the supplier for the ballot papers although it refused to disclose more details of this supplier.
