Zanu-PF MP To Be Recalled From Parliament After Joining Mugabe Party

In an interview with The Herald, Zanu-PF Midlands provincial spokesperson, Cornelius Mupereri said the province is working on recalling Kwekwe Central Member of Parliament, Masango Matambanadzo after he announced that he will be contesting as a candidate for the New Patriotic Front (NPF) led by Ambrose Mutinhiri.

Matambanadzo was not allowed to contest in Zanu-PF primary elections after his CV was rejected by Midlands province. He attended an NPF rally in Kwekwe held during the weekend where he announced he will be contesting Kwekwe Central on an NPF ticket in the harmonised elections.

When contacted by The Herald for a comment, Matambanadzo confirmed joining NPF. Said Matambanadzo:

If you ask them why they disqualified me and blocked me from contesting the primary elections, they will not give you an answer. They are just selfish individuals who think they own the party.
