Mnangagwa Would Win By 68,5% If Elections Were Held Today: TIFA

A survey by Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) says President Emmerson Mnangagwa would win by 68,5% if elections were held today. MDC Alliance presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa would get 19,5% whilst People’s Rainbow Coalition leader Joice Mujuru would get 2,0% and Thokozani Khupe would get 1,0%.

The survey was carried out from 30 May to 4 June in all 10 provinces in Zimbabwe. Data was collected using face to face interviews, respondents sampled from households and 3,005 respondents were interviewed. According to TIFA, the survey has an error of +/-2.19%. The sample was distributed across the provinces proportionate to population size and was also weighted against the voter register demographics of age and gender.
