Farmers Should Not Use Sanctions As An Excuse For Low Productivity: Shiri
Lands, Agriculture and Rural Resettlement Minister Perrance Shiri said farmers should not use sanctions as an excuse for low productivity stating that “sanctions have nothing to do with our farming and productivity”.
Shiri said farmers have other resources such as water and land which have nothing to do with sanctions. Said Shiri:
Sanctions have nothing to do with our farming and productivity so we should free ourselves in that sector. We can perform better even when we have sanctions. We have land, water and other resources that would enable us to enhance productivity.
FeedbackShiri also said there are a lot of opportunities in farming that farmers need to take up to generate foreign currency from exports.
