Addressing war veterans from Bulawayo Province at Stanley Square in Makokoba suburb, Zanu-PF secretary for war veterans Victor Matemadanda warned no one is invincible in the party adding that no individual should think that he or she is bigger than the organisation.
Matemadanda said they removed former President Robert Mugabe after realising he was against the will of the people. Said Matemadanda:
We have some people among us who feel that they are bigger than Zanu-PF but they are not. Our own President, ED Mnangagwa is a servant yet we have people who think they are way bigger and better than everyone else. No-one is invincible in this party. We removed Robert Mugabe from power after realising that he was going against the will of the people. The power is in the people and at some point our lives were in danger and we were sleeping in the bush after some orders for us to be killed, but the long and short of it is that he is out and resting at Blue Roof and we are taking the struggle forward.
