Warrant Of Arrest Issued Against Walter Mzembi

Former Cabinet minister Walter Mzembi was issued with another warrant of arrest after he failed to appear before a Harare magistrate.
Mzembi who is facing a number of corruption charges is reported to be undergoing cancer treatment. He is being represented by Job Sikhala. A warrant of arrest has been issued against him and the matter has been remanded to December 4. The State alleged that Mzembi misappropriated funds meant for the 2013 United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) General Assembly. He is being charged with theft of trust property together with Tourism and Hospitality ministry consultant Aaron Dzingira Mushoriwa (62), and former permanent secretary Margret Sangarwe (59).
