Mnangagwa Still On Holiday, He Will Briefly Be At Work To Receive Ambassadors - Deputy Information Minister
President Emmerson Mnangagwa is still on his annual leave. This was revealed by the Deputy Minister for Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, Energy Mutodi.
President Mnangagwa went on leave several days ago but opted to remain in the country. His predecessor, former President Robert Mugabe used to go to the Far East during his annual leave.
Mnangagwa reportedly cut short his holiday in order to deal with the issue of striking junior doctors after the Acting President, Constantino Chiwenga failed to resolve the crisis.
Writing on microblogging site Twitter, Mutodi said:
His Excellency President ED Mnangagwa is still on his annual leave although he will be briefly at work tomorrow to receive incoming ambassadors from the UK & Rwanda. Acting President Chiwenga will remain in office until the President is back from holiday.
