President of the MDC-T, Thokozani Khupe revealed on Wednesday that her party is willing to engage with all stakeholders without any preconditions, in order to move the country forward.
Asked if she was ready to meet erstwhile colleague MDC Alliance president Nelson Chamisa, Khupe said:
For us, we want to bring everybody together. This is why we are saying we want an all-inclusive dialogue which is not going to leave anyone behind.
… for me, it is not about power, it is about moving this country forward.
It is about the 15 million people in this country and not individuals and we must run away from individualising issues.
Khupe and Chamisa feel out favour when the latter was elevated to the vice presidency of the party by the then MDC-T president, the late Morgan Tsvangirai.
The friction became worse when Tsvangirai died last year as the two jostled for the presidency. Chamisa eventually took over control of the party after a bitter fight with Khupe. The duo is said to have avoided eye contact at the burial of national hero Oliver Mtukudzi, even though they were within touching distance of each other.
