The Minister for Finance and Economic Development Mthuli Ncube said that the government will use revenue from the 2 per cent tax to build schools, roads and making sure that nurses, doctors and teachers receive the wages they deserve.
Ncube also bragged that the government has managed to maintain full shelves in shops and eradicated winding fuel queues at service stations. He said:
Income from 2 % tax will also be used to rejuvenate and improve the new Zimbabwe; building schools, roads and making sure our nurses, doctors and teachers receive the wages they deserve. Shelves in shops are now full and fuel lines have petered out.
