Hospitals in Bulawayo have been spared water rationing by the Bulawayo City Council.
The council announced a few weeks ago that a programme of water shading will be instituted due to the ever falling water levels in the major supply dams.
Bulawayo town clerk Christopher Dube confirmed on Friday that hospitals would be spared the water rationing programme. He said:
Hospitals are not part of the water-shedding programme. There were problems with UBH which resulted in it being disconnected and the problems have since been rectified.
In case there are water problems, we will be supplying them with water bowsers.
