The former ZANU PF politburo member and Minister of Energy and Power Development, Dzikamai Mavhaire, faces imminent arrest after a Harare magistrate on Tuesday issued a warrant of arrest against him.
Mavhaire was obliged to testify as a State witness in a matter where Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) chairperson Stanley Nyasha Kazhanje is accused of receiving a $10 000 bribe from Harare businessman and socialite, Wicknell Chivayo.
Mavhaire refused to testify. His name was called three times at the trial of the ZPC official and when he did not appear, senior regional magistrate Hoseah Mujaya issued him with an arrest warrant.
