Chigova To Play His 100th Game In ABSA
Zimbabwe international goalkeeper George Chigova is set to play his 100th game in the South African Premier Soccer League.
The 28-year old has so far played 99 games. He is likely to reach 100 if he is selected to play against Black Leopards in the Limpopo derby on Sunday.
Speaking to Limpopo Sports Zone, Chigova said:
It’s good to be playing my 100th game. It’s been a long journey but I would like to thank the Almighty for giving me the strength all the time and to be able to reach this milestone.
So for now I cannot say I am happy, all I am happy for is that I am reaching 100 games. It’s not everyone who will be able to get there so for now let me just enjoy the moment.
Chigova joined Absa Premiership in 2014 with SuperSport. He is now in his fourth season in the Supa Disk. He has 30 clean sheets. He, however, conceded 119 goals.
His incredible form in the past few seasons effected his a national team bounce back.
