The former Minister of Energy and Power Development Dzikamai Mavhaire has been fined $20 by Harare Magistrate Hosea Mujaya. This follows the former ZANU PF politburo member’s refusal to be subpoenaed in court.
Mavhaire is expected to appear as a state witness on April 15 in the case in which he is accused of receiving a $10 000 bribe from controversial Harare businessman Wicknell Chivayo.
The alleged bribe happened when Mavhaire was still serving as the Minister of Energy.
