A bus accident in Nkayi Bulawayo has seriously injured 13 people. The accident happened early Sunday morning.
The driver of Ntubeni Bus failed to control the bus at Gwelo bridge and it fell into the river. Matabeleland Institute for Human Rights (MIHR) confirmed that thirteen people were injured but did not disclose the actual number of people who were on the bus.
“Ntubeni Bus from Zhamba, Gokwe to Bulawayo fell at Gwelo River in Nkayi, Nesigwe area resulting in 13 people sustaining serious injuries and have since been taken to Nkayi hospital.
Nkayi road is said to be a bad road and its bridge has often given drivers problems because it’s too narrow. MIHR encouraged the government to construct better roads to avoid such accidents.
