Former spokesperson of the Thokozani Khupe-led MDC-T, Linda Masarira has formed a new political party, Labour, Economists and African Democrats (LEAD).
Masarira revealed this while responding to a question by social media user who had asked if it is true that she was indeed forming a political party. In response, Masarira said:
Yes, It has been on my agenda for a while. Now I have finally released the concept. I hope you get time to read the LEAD document so we can engage more on it?
This comes barely a month after she was shown the exit door by her erstwhile colleagues in the MDC-T.
Masarira was fired from the party after she was pictured wearing party regalia emblazoned with ZANU PF colours while she was attending a function in the rural areas.
Masarira blasted her former boss, Thokozain Khupe, calling her “mediocre” and said that MDC has been captured by sexists and tribalists.
