Temba Mliswa, Norton Member of Parliament has said President Emmerson Mnangagwa should set up Itai Dzamara Commission.
Mliswa said the issue of Dzamara was going nowhere hence the need to tackle it head-on
Mliswa said:
Human Rights violations must be dealt with. We need the issue of Itai Dzamara dealt with. Whether we like it or not, it’s a sticking issue. And there is no reason why the President cannot set up a commission of Inquiry to look into that the same way he did by setting up a commission of Inquiry to look into the August 1 situation.
Any human life lost is not good for Zimbabwe.
His sentiments reverberate those of Amnesty International which also urged a relaunch of thorough investigations into the disappearance of the journalist and social activist.
Dzamara, is reported to have been kidnapped by five men as he left a barbershop near his home in Harare in 2015.
