Facebook Usage In Zimbabwe Drops Significantly

The usage of Facebook in Zimbabwe has dropped significantly since 2017, data from StatCounter, an international internet technology measurement company, shows.
Trend data from March 2017 supplied by the company on its website show that Facebook market-share dropped significantly from about 90% to 47% in March 2019.
The drop in Facebook usage has given way to the rise of other social media apps, most notably Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube all of them US-based.
Pinterest now has 33% market share in compared to 6% in March 2017. Twitter had 11% market share in March 2019 compared to 2% two years ago.
