Frank Buyanga was ordered by a Harare magistrate, Moyo to return his four-year-old son to his estranged lover. Reports suggest that he returned the boy to his mother yesterday.
Buyanga and Muteswa have been fighting for the custody of their four-year-old since their separation in 2014.
Muteswa was however given custody of the child whilst Buyanga was allowed to have access to the boy over weekends.
In an affidavit, Muteswa argued that she has legal custody of the child.
Recently, Buyanga reported Muteswa to the police for a contempt of court after she failed to release the boy’s passport to Buyanga. The courts had ruled that Muteswa was supposed to release the passport so that Buyanga could travel to South Africa with the child during the holidays.
Muteswa however opted to give the passport to her lawyers resulting in Byuanga failing to receive the passport and the child last week.
