ED 'Moved' By The Tales Of Cyclone Idai Survivors

President Emmerson Mnangagwa said that he was moved when he heard the harrowing tales of residents and chiefs from Chipinge and Chimanimani who were affected by Cyclone Idai.

Writing on microblogging site Twitter on Thursday, President Mnangagwa said:

It was moving to hear from residents and chiefs from Chipinge and Chimanimani, whose communities were ravaged by Cyclone Idai.

We have identified land to house the displaced and those at risk from future natural disasters, and we are mobilising resources to undertake their relocation.

President Mnangagwa on Thursday met 12 chiefs from Chipinge and Chimanimani at Chief Mutema’s homestead in Ngaone to deliberate on early recovery plans for the districts.
