FULL TEXT: Resolutions Of The 2019 ZIFA Annual General Meeting
The Zimbabwe Football Association held its Annual General Meeting for the year 2019 on 25 May in Harare.
President Kamambo took stock of what the association has done since the inception of new leadership in December 2016, at the same time outlining the path that ZIFA shall take in order to achieve the ultimate goal of total football development.
To kickstart the process of holistic development, the President revealed that equipment including balls, cones and bibs has been purchased and is ready for distribution to all Affiliates.
FeedbackOn top of that, the Association will now avail a total amount of RTG$ 820 000 from its FIFA funding to be distributed among all affiliates.
Resolutions of the meeting are as follows:
- The Executive Committee resolved to launch an online database called MyZIFA in order to curb age cheating in local football.
- The congress adopted the 2018 audited financial statements and the proposed 2020 budget.
- The congress also approved Caps United’s proposal to amend Article Section 1(a) to read as follows;
The Premier Soccer League Consisting (PSL) consisting of the eighteen (18) members of the Premier Soccer League, each 1 delegate.
Article 32 Section 1 was amended to read as follows;
There shall be a Premier Soccer League elected Chairman in the ZIFA Executive Committee representing the Premier Soccer League
- Youth leagues will begin in August
- Congress resolved to appoint Auditors for the 2019 financial year from any of the following; KMPG, Ernst and Young and Price Waterhouse Coopers
- The Congress did not approve PSL season changeover until research and consultations with Affiliates has been concluded
- All judicial bodies namely the Appeals Committee, Ethics Committee, and Disciplinary Committee were ratified.
